Definition

Anemia is a condition characterized by an insufficient quantity of healthy red blood cells (erythrocytes) or hemoglobin in the blood, leading to reduced oxygen transport to the body's tissues. It can result from various causes, including nutritional deficiencies, bone marrow problems, chronic diseases, or loss of blood.
