Definition

Religious extremism involves the beliefs and actions of individuals or groups who adhere to radical interpretations of their faith's doctrines, often advocating for the imposition of those beliefs through uncompromising and sometimes violent means. It exists outside the mainstream interpretations of religion and typically rejects pluralistic views and democratic processes.
