The Roaring 20s

During the 1920s, the US went through dramatic social and political change. The economy boomed with the total wealth doubling throughout the decade. Because of this new wealth, affluent Americans experienced increased consumerism for the first time. It was also the first time in American history that more people lived in cities rather than farms.
