Europe, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean featured an extensive range of cross-cultural exchanges as a byproduct of imperialism, trade, and religious expansion before and after 1200 CE, which marks the beginning of AP World: Modern's first unit: The Global Tapestry. We'll discuss major events and key ideas from the period before 1200 CE and subsequently analyze a couple of historical continuities in those three regions AFTER 1200 CE. (Part of Unit 1, Topics 2 and 6)
