Agriculture predominates in rural areas (not always) - There are patterns for how this has looked over time. Johann Heinrich von Thunen wrote about rural land use for commercial purposes in his book The Isolated State, where he postulated that all agricultural activities are based on profits, and is centered on the market, or center, of the state. This week, weโll break down the model, and then spend a little time looking at examples of land use in modern agriculture.
