This unit is all about people in a really generalized way. It includes examining the global distribution of people to understand why humans are spread across the world in the way they are and what impacts that has on society, economics, and politics. We'll use two models to understand population growth and decline. Population pyramids show the age and gender demographics of a region, while the Demographic Transition Model highlights the birth and death rates based on the development of a country's education and healthcare.
