Definition

Faraday's law of electrolysis states that the amount of chemical change occurring at an electrode during electrolysis is directly proportional to the quantity of electricity passed through the cell. In simpler terms, it relates the amount of substance produced or consumed in an electrolytic reaction to the electric charge passed through the solution.
