Sacrotuberous ligament

Definition

The sacrotuberous ligament is a strong, fibrous structure that connects the lower part of the sacrum and the upper part of the coccyx to the ischial tuberosity of the pelvis. It plays a key role in stabilizing the pelvis and limiting its rotation.
