The delta (δ) scale is a dimensionless unit used in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy to express the chemical shifts of atoms within a molecule. It indicates how much the magnetic environment of an atom deviates from a reference signal, often that of tetramethylsilane (TMS).
