Gaia, in Greek mythology, is the personification of Earth and one of the primordial deities who emerged at the beginning of creation. She is often considered the mother of all life, giving birth to the sky (Uranus), the mountains, and the sea (Pontus), and is a vital figure in many creation myths, representing fertility and nurturing as well as the complex relationships among the gods and nature.
