disability

Definition

Disability is a condition, either physical or mental, that significantly restricts an individual's ability to perform one or more major life activities. It encompasses a wide range of conditions, including impairments in mobility, cognition, hearing, vision, and emotional well-being.

Analogy

A disability can be thought of like a hurdle in a track race that makes it more challenging for the runner to complete the course compared to others without hurdles. While the hurdle presents an obstacle, with the right support and adjustments, the runner can still successfully finish the race.
