Self-Determination: The right of a people to determine their own political, economic, social, and cultural development, free from outside influence or control.
Neocolonialism:The practice of using economic, political, cultural, or other forms of power to control or influence other countries, typically former colonies, instead of the previous colonial methods of direct military control or occupation.
