Definition

The Shoshone are a Native American tribe with diverse groups spread across parts of what are now Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah and California.

Analogy

Imagine if your family was spread out across multiple states - some live in New York while others live in Florida or Texas. That's similar to how the Shoshone were spread out across different regions.
