Definition

International migration involves individuals or groups moving from one country to another. Reasons for international migration can include seeking employment opportunities, fleeing political unrest or war, or joining family members who have already migrated.

Analogy

Imagine you're playing a game of chess and you decide to move your knight piece from one side of the board (one country) over several squares to another side (another country). That's international migration!
