Electric Elevator

Definition

An elevator powered by electric motors rather than manual labor or steam power. The electric motor drives a lifting system that moves the elevator car up and down.

Analogy

An electric elevator is like your school's automatic doors. Instead of needing someone to push them open (manual labor), they use electricity to automatically open and close when needed.
