Clothing Industry

Definition

This is an industry that involves all aspects related to clothes including design, production, marketing and retailing. It's one of the oldest human activities dating back thousands of years but has significantly evolved over time due to technological advancements like electric sewing machines.

Analogy

Imagine if your school was a giant fashion show - each department (like math or science) would represent different parts of the clothing industry. Design would be art class where you sketch out ideas; production would be shop class where those designs become reality; marketing could be English class where you learn how to sell your product; and retailing might be gym class where you actually distribute (or "pass") your product (the ball) to customers (your teammates).
