Cattle Ranching
Definition
This is the business of raising cattle for meat (beef) production. In US history, this was particularly significant in western states during the 19th century after Civil War when demand for beef increased dramatically.
Analogy
Consider cattle ranching as a movie production company. Just like how a movie company produces films for audiences to enjoy, cattle ranching involves raising and producing beef for consumers.
