Black Power

Definition

Black Power is a political slogan and a name for various associated ideologies aimed at achieving self-determination for people of African descent. It promotes black pride and advocates for the creation of black political and cultural institutions.

Analogy

Think of Black Power as a motivational chant from a crowd to their favorite team (here, the African-American community). The chant doesn't just boost morale but also encourages the team to take control of the game (in this case, their social, political, and economic destiny).
