Anti-Communist Sentiment

Definition

Anti-communist sentiment refers to opposition towards communism, communist political parties, or communist states. This was particularly prevalent during the Cold War era when tensions were high between capitalist western countries and communist eastern bloc countries.

Analogy

Imagine being on a sports team where everyone gets equal playing time regardless of skill level - this is how some people view communism. Those who believe they should get more playing time because they've worked harder or are more skilled may develop anti-communist sentiments - they don't think it's fair for everyone to be treated equally when not everyone contributes equally.
