Angel Island is located in San Francisco Bay and was the entry point for most Asian immigrants to the United States from 1910 to 1940. It was often referred to as the "Ellis Island of the West."
Angel Island is like a busy airport terminal where people from different countries arrive, but instead of just going through customs, they also had to undergo rigorous inspections and interrogations.
