Treaty of Paris

Definition

The Treaty of Paris, signed in 1783, ended the American Revolutionary War between Great Britain on one side and the United States of America and its allies on the other. The treaty set out terms for peace, including recognition of U.S. independence.

Think about two kids who have been fighting over a toy (the American colonies). After a long struggle, they decide to make up and agree on rules for sharing (Treaty of Paris).
