Pedro I

Definition

Pedro I was the founder and first ruler of Brazil as an independent nation. He reigned as King Dom Pedro IV of Portugal briefly before abdicating and focusing on his leadership in Brazil.

Analogy

Imagine if Harry Potter decided not only to fight Voldemort but also take over Hogwarts and make it its own independent school separate from all other wizarding schools. That's kind of what Pedro I did when he declared Brazil's independence from Portugal and became its first emperor.
