Statistical Test

Definition

A statistical test is a procedure used to make inferences about population parameters based on sample data. It helps determine if there is enough evidence to support or reject a hypothesis.

Analogy

Imagine you want to know if eating breakfast affects your test scores. You could conduct a statistical test by comparing the average test scores of students who eat breakfast with those who don't. This would help you draw conclusions about the relationship between breakfast and test performance.
