This term refers to the dynamics of power within a society. It encompasses the distribution of authority, control, and influence among individuals or groups.
Picture a chessboard where each piece represents a person or group. Some pieces have more power (like the queen) while others have less power (like pawns). The moves they make determine who gains or loses control on the board.
La dominación: The exercise of power by one individual or group over another through coercion or control.
La resistencia: Actions taken by individuals or groups to challenge or oppose those in positions of power.
El patriarcado: A social system where men hold primary positions of power and authority over women.
