Think of weak institutions as malfunctioning traffic lights. When traffic lights don't work properly, chaos ensues on the roads because there is no order or guidance. Similarly, weak institutions can lead to disorder and inefficiency in society.
Corrupción (corruption): The misuse of power by individuals in positions of authority for personal gain at the expense of public interest.
Impunidad (impunity): The exemption from punishment or consequences for illegal actions due to lack of enforcement or accountability.
Democracia (democracy): A system of government where power is vested in the people through free elections and citizen participation.
