Definition

Biases refer to preconceived notions or prejudices that can influence one's thinking or decision-making. They can lead to unfair judgments, favoritism, stereotypes, or discrimination.

Analogy

Think of biases as colored glasses through which we see the world. Just like different-colored glasses can distort our perception of reality, biases can distort our judgment and affect how we interpret information or treat others.
