The ability to stay alive and adapt to environmental challenges in order to continue living.
Analogy
Survival is like being a contestant on a reality TV show. In order to win, you have to navigate through various obstacles and challenges without getting eliminated.

Natural Selection: The process by which organisms with traits that are advantageous for survival in their environment are more likely to survive and reproduce.
Adaptation: The process of adjusting or changing behavior, physiology, or structure in response to changes in the environment.
Fitness: A measure of an organism's ability to survive and reproduce offspring that will also survive and reproduce successfully.
