Definition

The act of inhaling smoke from burning tobacco encased in cigarettes, pipes or cigars. It's an addictive habit that has numerous health risks including lung cancer and heart disease.

Analogy

Smoking is like slowly pouring poison into your body. Just as poison damages organs over time leading to death; smoking gradually destroys lungs leading to various respiratory diseases and cancers.
