Definition

School grades are a measure of a student's academic performance in their coursework. They typically range from A (excellent) to F (failing).

Analogy

Think of school grades like the health bar in a video game. The higher your health bar, the better you're doing in the game. Similarly, the higher your grade, the better you're doing in class.
