Definition

A field in psychology that studies how people learn in educational settings, the effectiveness of educational interventions, the psychology of teaching, and the social psychology of schools as organizations.

Analogy

Consider educational psychology like being a coach for students. Just like coaches analyze players' strengths/weaknesses & devise strategies to improve their game, educational psychologists study how students learn and devise strategies to enhance the learning process.
