CT (Computed Tomography) Scan

Definition

An imaging procedure that uses special x-ray equipment to create detailed pictures, or scans, of areas inside the body; also referred to as computerized tomography or computerized axial tomography (CAT).

Analogy

Imagine a CT scan like slicing a loaf of bread into thin slices. Each slice gives you a clear view of what's inside at that particular level - just like how a CT scan provides cross-sectional views of your body.
