Babinski Reflex

Definition

The Babinski reflex is a physical response where a baby's big toe moves upward or toward the top surface of the foot and the other toes fan out when the sole of the foot is firmly stroked.

Analogy

Imagine if someone tickles your palm and your fingers automatically spread out wide. That's similar to what happens with a baby's foot during a Babinski reflex test!
