Anonymity in psychology refers to the practice of ensuring that all information collected from a participant in a study is not linked to their identity, thus protecting their privacy.
Analogy
Think of anonymity like wearing a mask at a masquerade ball. You're participating in the event, but no one knows who you are behind your mask.
