The determination of the spring constant (k) which represents how stiff or soft a spring is. It relates the force applied on a spring with its displacement from equilibrium position.
Calculating the spring constant is like figuring out how stretchy or rigid a rubber band is. By applying different forces and measuring displacements, we can determine how much "springiness" it has.
Hooke's Law: States that the force exerted by a spring is directly proportional to its displacement from equilibrium position.
Elastic Potential Energy: The energy stored in a spring when it is stretched or compressed.
