Kepler's 2nd Law

Definition

Kepler's 2nd Law states that as a planet moves around its elliptical orbit, it sweeps out equal areas in equal time intervals. This means that planets move faster when they are closer to the Sun and slower when they are farther away.

Analogy

Imagine you're riding a bicycle along an oval-shaped track. As you pedal faster near one end (closer to your starting point), you cover more distance in less time compared to pedaling at the same speed near the other end (farther from your starting point).
