Joules per second, also known as watts (W), is a unit of power that measures the rate at which work is done or energy is transferred.

Analogy

Think of joules per second like the speed at which you can complete your homework assignments. If you can finish 10 assignments in 1 hour, then your power of completing assignments would be 10 assignments per hour.
