A free response question (FRQ) is a type of exam question where students are required to provide a written response rather than selecting from multiple-choice options.
Think of FRQs as open-ended essay questions in English class. Instead of choosing from given answers, you have to construct your own response using your knowledge and understanding.
Rubric: A set of guidelines or criteria used to evaluate and score FRQ responses.
Analysis: The process of examining something closely to understand its components or structure.
Synthesis: Combining different ideas or concepts to create a new understanding.
