Constant Velocity

Definition

Constant velocity refers to an object's motion at a steady speed and direction without any acceleration. It means that the object covers equal distances in equal time intervals.

Analogy

Imagine driving your car on a straight road with cruise control set at a specific speed. As long as you don't change your speed or direction, you're maintaining constant velocity because you're not accelerating or decelerating.

Related terms

Displacement: The change in position of an object from its initial point to its final point.
