Definition
Resistance refers to how much an object or material hinders or opposes the flow of electric current passing through it. It depends on factors such as resistivity and physical dimensions (length and cross-sectional area).
Resistivity measures how strongly a material opposes the flow of electric current. Higher resistivities result in higher resistance values.
Ohm's Law: Ohm's Law relates voltage, current, and resistance in an electrical circuit. It states that voltage equals current multiplied by resistance (V = IR).
Series Circuit: In a series circuit, components are connected one after another along a single path. The total resistance in a series circuit is the sum of individual resistances.
