Solfège is a system of assigning syllables to the notes of a musical scale. It provides a way to vocally identify and reproduce pitches accurately. The most common solfège syllables are do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, ti.
Think of solfège as using a GPS navigation system that gives you step-by-step instructions for reaching your destination. Just as the GPS guides you through each turn and keeps you on track, solfège syllables guide singers through the notes of a scale and help them stay in tune.
Major Scale: A major scale is a specific arrangement of whole steps and half steps that creates a particular sound or mood.
Minor Scale: A minor scale is another arrangement of whole steps and half steps that produces a different sound or mood compared to the major scale.
Chromatic Scale: The chromatic scale consists of all twelve pitches within an octave, including both white and black keys on the piano keyboard. It includes every possible pitch between two given notes.
