The Senate Minority Whip is a member of the minority political party in the U.S. Senate who assists leadership in managing its party's legislative program on the floor.
Consider them as an assistant coach on a sports team. They help keep track of how team members are playing (voting), encourage participation (attendance at votes), and assist with strategy development.
Senate Majority Whip: This person serves similar functions as their counterpart but within majority political party in U.S. senate.
Caucus: A meeting held by members from same political party or faction to decide upon policy or nominate candidates for various offices.
Quorum Call: A call from house floor to establish minimum number of members required to conduct business.
