Public Access

Definition

Public access refers to the ability of individuals to obtain information or have entry to places and resources controlled or funded by government entities. It ensures transparency and allows citizens to participate in democratic processes effectively.

Analogy

Imagine public access as having an all-access pass to your favorite concert. With this pass, you can enter any area, see what's going on behind-the-scenes, and actively engage with the event just like being well-informed citizens who can access government records and participate fully in democracy.
