Parallel

Definition

When we talk about two things being parallel, we mean that they are similar or comparable in some way. In the context of government, finding a parallel means identifying similarities between different branches or aspects of governance.

Analogy

Think of parallel lines on a road. They never intersect and always remain at an equal distance from each other. Similarly, when we find a parallel in government, we are looking for similarities that run alongside each other without crossing paths.
