The Libertarian Party is a political party in the United States advocating civil liberties, non-interventionism, laissez-faire capitalism and shrinking the size and scope of government.

Analogy

Imagine if your parents decided not only not to give you chores but also stopped setting rules for you. They believe you're responsible enough to make your own decisions and handle the consequences. That's kind of like the Libertarian Party's approach to government.
