Echo chambers refer to situations in which beliefs are amplified by communication and repetition inside a closed system and insulated from rebuttal.

Analogy

An echo chamber is like being in a room full of mirrors; you only see your own reflection (or opinion) repeated back at you without any new perspectives introduced.
