The modulo operator, represented by the symbol %, is a mathematical operation that returns the remainder when one number is divided by another.
Think of a pizza party where you have 10 slices of pizza and 3 friends. If you want to share the pizza equally, each friend will get 3 slices and there will be 1 slice left over. The modulo operator helps you find that leftover slice.
Division operator: A mathematical operation that divides one number by another and gives the quotient as the result.
Remainder: The amount left over after dividing one number by another using the modulo operator.
Dividend: The number being divided in a division operation.
