Creative Commons

Definition

Creative Commons is a licensing system that allows creators to share their work with specific permissions for others to use, remix, or distribute it. It provides a way for creators to grant certain rights while still retaining some control over their work.

Analogy

Think of Creative Commons as a menu at a restaurant. Each item on the menu has different options for customization. Similarly, Creative Commons licenses offer different permissions and restrictions depending on what the creator wants to allow others to do with their work.
