Definition

Election systems refer to the methods and processes used to conduct elections, including how voters cast their ballots, how votes are counted, and how winners are determined.

Analogy

Think of election systems as different types of games. Just like there are various rules and strategies in different games (like chess or soccer), election systems have their own set of rules and procedures that determine the outcome.
