A quadratic relationship between two variables means that one variable varies with square value other variable.
Consider throwing a ball up into air; its height over time forms a parabolic curve. The height of the ball (one variable) is related to the square of the time it has been in air (second variable).
Linear Relationship: A relationship between two variables where one varies directly with other.
Cubic Relationship: A relationship between two variables where one varies with cube value of other.
Exponential Relationship: A relationship between two variables where one varies exponentially with other.
