PEreactants refers to the potential energy of reactants in a chemical reaction. It's essentially the stored energy that reactants have before they undergo a reaction.

Analogy

Think about it like this - you're at the top of a roller coaster with your potential energy at its maximum. This is similar to PEreactants - they are ready for action but haven't started reacting yet!
